How can we help?

How do I get access to my courses on Brian?

for students 👩🏽‍🎓

To use Brian, you must be logged into Brian and be invited to a course by your teacher.

→ You can find information on how to log in here.

There are four ways in which you can receive a course invitation from your teacher:

1. E-Mail

2. Course Code

3. SSO login

4. Manual Assignment by the teacher

→ If you do not know which method applies to you, please ask your teacher for help.

1. E-Mail

If your teacher issues an email invitation to their course, you will receive an email from Brian (noreply@brian.study). Check your spam folder as emails can get stuck there.

2. Course code

Your teacher will give you a course code. The code consists of 7 characters and looks something like this: fb3yife.

When you receive such a code, simply log into Brian on your smartphone/tablet or on student.brian.study, and then enter the course code to join the course.

Important: The course code is not a login code. You have to first log into the system; only then can you enter the course code.

To join a new course if you are already enrolled in other courses, go to the course overview click on the “+ symbol” at the bottom of the page. Enter the course code there.

Alternatively, you can also use the QR-Code given to you by your teacher. This will lead you directly to your course, provided you are logged into Brian.

3. SSO login

Some institutions have set up their system in such a way, that it communicates directly with the backend of Brian. If so, all your courses will automatically appear in your Brian account. Simply use your organization's email address when you log in.

4. Manual assignment

If your teacher has assigned you to their course manually, you will be enrolled automatically and will be able to see the course immediately once you are logged into Brian.
