I have problems logging in

for students 👩🏽‍🎓

If you cannot log in or have other problems with the login, we recommend the following steps:

  1. Please always use the Chrome browser for Brian – even if you have the app installed. Other browsers can cause issues, especially during login. Some browsers, like DuckDuckGo, don't pass on information, meaning the browser window can't transfer information to the app. We therefore recommend setting Chrome as your default browser.
  1. Uninstall the app and reinstall it. Don't worry: your progress will be saved. This clears the cache and ensures you are using the latest version.
  1. Check your spam folder. Depending on your email provider, the email might not arrive immediately but could be delayed or end up in your spam folder.
  1. Check if you have any typos in your email address.
  1. For Android smartphones only: Go to your settings, select "Apps", search for "Brian" and click on "Storage". Please clear the entire storage and try again. Don't worry: your progress will be saved.

If you click the link in the email on your phone and see only a blank screen in the browser, this means the browser isn’t asking if you want to open the app. Instead, it loads the page directly in the browser, resulting in a blank screen.

  • To work around this issue, please try scanning the QR code with your phone’s camera. This should open the app directly and allow you to log in.
  • For Microsoft Edge and Outlook users: You can adjust your settings by following the instructions in this video.
