Key Difference
Brian is both a software tool that enables the creation of learning content and the learning environment itself—that is, the place where learning takes place.
Teaching Environment
Content is created on app.brian.study and is entirely browser-based—no separate app is required. Learning cannot take place on app.brian.study; that is, the web application is intended exclusively for teachers.
Learning Environment
Learning takes place on a native app, i.e., on the learner’s smartphone or tablet, or on the web at student.brian.study. No content is created here.
To use the app on a smartphone or tablet, learners must download it; the web application works on any browser. To participate in a course created by their teacher, learners must be invited by the teacher.
As a teacher, can I also view the learner’s perspective?
Of course. We recommend taking a look at the learning environment and clicking through the course immediately after creating your first module.
