Questions about the course level

for teachers 👩🏼‍🏫

Basic idea

Specifying your course level helps Brian's AI adapt its content to the age group and learning level of your course. This can be seen, for example, in the linguistic tone and conceptual complexity of AI-created texts in Brian's Content Generation mode. After the initial creation of content, teachers are able to make further adjustments, fine-tuning the content to their class's needs.

What do the individual levels mean?

Primary School (ages 9-11): Brian's AI adapts the language and complexity of generated content to be suitable for children aged approx. 9 to 11 years. The language is child-friendly and the explanations make reference to children's experiential reality.

Middle school (ages 12-15): Brian's AI adapts the language level and the complexity of the content to children aged approx. 12 to 15 years. The language is informal and avoids complex vocabulary. Concepts are broken down so as to be accessible to the age group.

High school (ages 15-18): Brian's KI adapts the level to students at High School level. In terms of language, contexts are no longer simplified, but emphasis is still placed on easy-to-grasp examples. Complex terminology is explained.

University BA-level: Brian's AI adapts the level to undergraduate students.

University MA-level: Brian's AI adapts the level to students at MA level. Important research and key debates within the field of inquiry are prioritized during content creation.

Course Level Adjuster

In addition to setting the basic course level, I can adjust it to "Easy," "Normal," or "Advanced".

Easy leads to a significant linguistic simplification of all AI output. Conceptual adjustments are also made.

Advanced is suitable for strong groups that want to be challenged both linguistically and conceptually.

You can change the course level for the course generally (in settings) but also for every Quiz or AI Dialogue you. If the slider under "Settings" is adjusted, the tool adopts these settings for the next quizzes; all existing quizzes remain unchanged. You can also choose the setting when adding questions to an existing Quiz.

What should I do if the questions and explanations in my quiz are too difficult or too easy?

The AI reflects the complexity and language of the provided text to a high degree. Therefore, the complexity of the questions can also be adjusted by offering a different version of the text. The teaching assistant can be used to rewrite the text: Simply copy the text into the teaching assistant and provide specific instructions on how the text should be modified.

Example: "Rewrite this text so that it contains no foreign words or subordinate clauses."

The revised text can then be inserted into the "Use Existing Materials" mode and serve as the basis for a new quiz.
