How do I generate a vocabulary training exercise?
There are two ways of generating a vocabulary exercise.
1) Select Add Quiz > Generate Vocabulary Training.
2) Create an AI dialogue using the template "Vocab Training".
You can find detailed instructions for both options here.
How do I create a reading comprehension task?
Choose Add Quiz > Generate New Materials. Describe the text you want to be created: theme, language level, age or interests of the readers, language focus, vocabulary. The AI will then suggest a text, which can be improved manually or by AI.
Example: Instructions for an English language course:
"A short text about the Montreux Jazz Festival for language learners at B1 level. The learners are
teenagers. Focus on this language point: present simple vs present continuous. Use the following
vocabulary: rhythm, to enjoy, thrilling, noisy, the bustle. Keep it simple and short."
After the initial draft, the following instruction were given to the AI:
"Keep the text as it is but avoid complex grammatical structures (no sub-clauses)."
Once the text is submitted, questions are automatically generated. The "Add Questions" function within the quiz can be used to refine the questions or give them a different focus.
Example: Adding Questions
"Add more questions where learners have to decide whether the present simple or present
continuous is grammatically correct."
